Welcome to the Bolton PMC KIDS Ride!
Come ride your bike with friends and raise money for a great cause! Join us for the 13th Bolton PMC Kids Ride on Sunday, September 23, 2018!  All of the donations support cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund. We'll have music, bicycle decorating, food and you can enter to win some wonderful raffle prizes! Thanks to our sponsor Stop and Shop, food and drink purchases will benefit the Jimmy Fund.

PMC Kids Rides draw young cyclists in to the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) mission: raising money for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund. The program engages youth in philanthropy and teaches them the value of working for the benefit of others. The ride also promotes athletic fitness and physical activity among youth.

The Bolton PMC Kids Ride expects 75 children to ride continuous loops around Florence Sawyer School grounds. There are 3 routes:

Tykes & Trikes- A short ride in front of Florence Sawyer School. Duration is ~15 minutes. Children can ride on their own or be pushed by an adult. Those that gain confidence and decide they would like to participate in the Hardtop Challenge are welcome.

Hardtop Challenge- A ½ mile loop around Florence Sawyer School on paved surfaces. This ride is for ages 4-14 with or without training wheels. All participants must ride without assistance.

Ultimate Bolton Challenge- A 2 mile loop that starts on pavement but will divert off-road through trails and fields and arrive back at the school. Recommended for ages 9 and up.

All riders must wear a helmet.

There are lots of ways to fundraise, find ideas here. To give the cyclists an additional push, the PMC will recognize young cyclists who raise $300 or more. Riders who meet this goal will be honored as Heavy Hitters and will receive a sack pack and certificate! Riders who raise $800 or more will be recognized as a Breakaway Fundraiser and will receive a backpack and certificate!

Bolton PMC Kids Ride encourages participants to ride as a team. Teams can ride in honor of a family member or friend. Teams can easily be set-up or joined during the online registration process. Gather your friends; come up with a team name and ride together to help kids with cancer!

Pre-registration: Pick up T-shirts and goodie bags and turn in donations on Thursday September 20th from 4-6pm at a location <TBD>. Riders can wear their PMC shirt to school on Friday September 21st to show support for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

We could not hold this event without our valued volunteers! Would you like to help as a route guide, at the registration table, or with clean-up after the event? Please visit our volunteer registration page here to see the available positions and to register. All volunteers receive a PMC volunteer shirt. Thank you!
