Welcome to the 8th Annual Kids PMC Lower Cape Ride!

Kids ages 2 through 15 ride for a cure, on courses that geared to their level of experience. Since 1980, the PMC has been the largest fundraiser for the Jimmy Fund at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. 100% of all the money raised is donated! Last year we were one of 35 rides throughout New England where a total of 5,300 kids together raised over $800,000! Our ride alone had 100 riders who raised over $11,000.

This year we welcome Pedal Partner – Evan Barrasso and his family. We join the Cape Cod Sea Camps Team in honoring Evan. He is a Sandwich 3-year-old who is currently being treated at the Jimmy Fund. We are thrilled to report that Bennett Hartley, our pedal partner for the past 2 years, completed his treatments at Dana Farber in March of this year.

In addition, this year we welcome several B-Liska teams from area Middle Schools, honoring last year’s Pedal Partner, Brad Liska, who succumbed to brain cancer this past December. Brad was a Chatham resident attending Nauset Regional Middle School, with a very wide range of interests and friends. This is a great event and it is an opportunity to educate the kids that every little bit helps, even a fun day riding bikes. Help us Pedal for a Cure for Evan and for all children who face and fight this terrifying disease! On line registration is open. We recommend registering right away so you can start spreading the word about your ride through your personal online account. This account allows you to raise funds online through email and the safety of the PMC website. Register as a family or individual. Parents are encouraged to volunteer. Great events happen because of great volunteers. Every little bit helps.
