  • Breakaway Fundraiser – $1,000

Fundraising Tips

We know that normal fundraising techniques will be hard this year. Here are some creative ideas to make fundraising "fun"raising!

  • Set up a Facebook Fundraiser
  • Write a personal letter to send to friends, family, and neighbors. Let them know what you are doing and why you are riding.
  • Make giving easy - When writing your letters, include a self-addressed stamped envelope or a link to your direct fundraising page.
  • Take your letter to local businesses to see if they will sponsor your ride.
  • Send an email to your friends and family letting them know how to donate to your ride online.
  • Remember to write a personal thank you note to all your sponsors.
  • Offer to do chores around the house in exchange for a contribution to your ride
  • Walk your neighbor’s dog for a contribution (while following all public health regulations and guidelines).
  • Have your family put all their loose change into a donation jar

How Your Fundraising Adds Up

Here are some examples of how your fundraising and donations could make an impact at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute:

  • $40 may help provide new toys for pediatric patients in the Jimmy Fund Clinic
    • $40 = 2024 PMC Kids Rides fundraising minimum commitment
  • $100 can help fund screenings for skin, breast, and prostate cancers
  • $500 may help support a breakthrough clinical trial for cancer patients
    • $500 = 2024 PMC Kids Rides Heavy Hitter level
  • $1,000 can help fund needs-based help for families facing financial hardships during a cancer diagnosis
    • $1,000 = 2024 PMC Kids Rides Breakaway fundraiser level

Ways to Give

The PMC Kids Rides Program can accept donations online and by check. Search for a rider to donate to or find a ride to support.

Read about more ways to give here.

Donate Online

Each PMC Kids Ride participant has his or her own online fundraising page. PMC Kids Ride registration is completed as a family and the adult completing registration will have the option to set up a family fundraising page (ideal for families with more than one child participating in a PMC Kids Ride) in addition to each rider's fundraising page.

Each rider has a donation page and a profile page where photos and information about why they're riding and fundraising can be shared.

Families are encouraged to share these links by email and on social media to solicit donations for the PMC Kids Ride.

Donate by Check

Checks can be made payable to the Pan-Mass Challenge or PMC. Please send all checks to:
