Welcome to the PMC Middletown, RI Kids Ride!

See last years photo gallery here!

PMC Kids Rides give children the opportunity to experience the joy of volunteerism and charitable giving through physical fitness and community spirit. Money raised through the event goes to the Pan Mass Challenge/Jimmy Fund, the most successful athletic fundraiser in the nation. Kids also have the option to raise funds in the name of a relative or friend fighting cancer or to dedicate their ride to a special person. Check out our generous Sponsors by clicking on the tab at the right.  Prior to the ride, Pedal Power of Middletown will be completing Safety Checks for your bike FREE of charge!  Get your bike tuned up early to ensure a fun ride! Bridge to Fitness of Middletown will be stretching the riders out and warming them up on ride day.  And of course, Del's Lemonade will provide a refreshing treat after the ride.

If you love to bike, cheer, or volunteer, the Middletown PMC is a great opportunity! Join us on May 19th at the Second Beach Parking Lot for our Fifth Annual Ride. We have three loops  (6 Mile, 2 Mile, and Trike Pike) that you may choose to ride.   Not only does this give kids a chance to be fit and ride bikes, but it's an awesome opportunity to help kids their age.  Details on these routes may be found under the "Map of Routes" tab.

To register to ride and to set up your fundraising page click on "Register to Ride". There is a $10 registration fee, $15 after May 13th, and a minimum fundraising goal of $25 that will be due on the day of the ride.  Every rider receives a PMC Kids T-shirt and other special surprises.  Don't miss out and register early to make sure you have a spot in this year's ride.  Games, entertainment, food, and raffles are only some of the fun!

Too Old To Ride? If you're 15 or older, you can join the fun as a volunteer. Click on "Register to Volunteer" to help out on event day. If you know someone battling cancer, you know that the ride they are battling is tough.  Volunteering for the PMC could make a huge difference for that friend, relative or even a complete stranger. This ride does not just rely on the wonderful kids of this community; it needs volunteers and there are many opportunities for that. Our volunteers are treated to some wake-up coffee and breakfast items by Ma's Donuts of Middletown.

Be on the lookout for further fun events to support the Ride! These will include a night at the Newport Gulls, Minute to Find a Cure, and a night of ice skating! They will be fun!

Also, click on "Fundraising" in the top menu to learn great ways to make a big difference!  If you have any questions at all please email Kemi Richardson or Beth Larcom
