Our Mission:

Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) Kids Rides are mini-bike-a-thons that involve children ages 3-14 in the PMC mission by providing them an opportunity to fight cancer just like adults that ride the ‘Big PMC’. The PMC Kids Rides became an official PMC program in 2005 as a way to include young cyclists in raising money for adult and pediatric cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. The program engages youth in philanthropy, instills the value of working for the benefit of others, promotes athletic fitness and physical activity. Kids ride their trikes and bikes and solicit sponsors for their ride to donate money to cancer research. 100% of all PMC Kids rider raised funds go directly to Dana Farber Cancer Institute to support cancer treatment and research.

Here are some ways you can help:
1.Make a Direct Donation here
2. Sign up for our Ride:
Choose your route and sign up now by clicking on the "Register to Ride" link on the right.
Riders can choose 1 of four routes:
Powerplant / Striper Spin- A supervised ride on the Cape Cod Canal Path for little ones aged 3-6 and those on more than 2 wheels.
The Sagamore – 4 miles (Sagamore Bridge & return)
The Bourne – 10 miles (Bourne Bridge & return)
The 3 Bridge Canal Challenge – 13 miles (Railroad Bridge & return)

Riders will set off from the Sandwich Harbormaster Office Parking Lot and ride the Cape Cod Canal Path. Riders can choose ‘their bridge’ based on age and ability. Riders will be sent off in waves to avoid congestion on the path. There will be adult volunteers on the path to ensure the safety of the riders.

In addition, riders who raise $800 or more will be honored as Breakaway Fundraisers and they will receive a special recognition certificate, and a New Balance PMC Kids Ride backpack!

To ensure a safe, successful ride, we need adults and young adults (ages 14 and up) to act as volunteers. Please sign up as a volunteer by clicking volunteer registration page here to see the available positions and to register as a volunteer. All volunteers receive a PMC volunteer shirt.

If you know someone fighting cancer, you know the ride they are battling is tough. Volunteering for the PMC could make a huge difference for your friend, relative or even a complete stranger.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available and encouraged from individuals or corporations at four levels: Bronze ($250), Silver ($500), Gold ($750) and Platinum ($1,000). All sponsors will be recognized at the event and listed in the event program. Sponsorships over $2,500 will be listed in the PMC yearbook. Please help sponsor our event by clicking here. If you have any questions, please contact ride coordinator Kevin Sareault at  Our ride is dedicated to all of our loved ones whose lives were cut short and to those who continue to inspire us as they live with cancer.
