Dear Riders and Volunteers,
Thanks to the tremendous efforts of our riders and volunteers, the 7th Annual PMC Wellesley Weston Kids Bike Ride was a great success! Close to 200 riders and over 100 volunteers worked together to demonstrate that kids play a powerful role in the fight against cancer. Together, we raised funds, awareness and engagement in that fight. We are grateful to all who participated.
We'd also like to thank all of our generous sponsors, especially our lead sponsor, FH Perry, and our route sponsors, Roche Bros., Wellesley Theatre Project and At Your Door Music. Your support made this wonderful community event possible.
As of today, we have raised almost $60,000 and the donations keep coming in! We'd like to give special recognition to our 43 Heavy Hitters (riders who raised $250 or more) and our top fundraisers: Ella and Ryan MacDuff, Samantha Burns, Lia Flenniken, Jacqueline Burns, Arman and Heeki Mehrabanzad, Zoe Moran and Katherine, Sarah and Matthew Loose. Thank you all for your extraordinary commitment.
Riders, please note that fundraising continues until October 1st so keep up the good work! Checks can be forwarded to: PMC Headquarters, 77 4th Avenue, Needham, MA 02492, ATTN: Sarah Mercurio. Please put your child's rider ID (if you have it) and "Wellesley Weston" on the memo line so that it gets properly processed. We're also happily continuing to accept donations online.
For riders and volunteers alike, we'd love to hear any suggestions or feedback you might have. Our goal is to make next year's ride even better than this one! And, if you'd like to get further involved, we'd love to talk to you about joining our organizing committee. You can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To all who were a part of this great day, congratulations and thank you for a job well done. Your efforts will make a difference in patient care at Dana Farber and will fund researchers as they work to find cures for cancer. We look forward to seeing you at next year's ride!
