Welcome to our 7th annual Kids Ride

  1. There will be NO PARKING at MJ for Riders, but parents can drop kids off and park nearby.
  2. Enter on Martha Jones Road ONLY - do NOT come down SPRUCE St., from Oak St.
  3. If your child did NOT pick up their Rider bag on Thursday, please go to Rider Registration tent and look for the correct line. There will be a separate line at the registration table for those just dropping off donations.
  4. Kids riding the 1-mile loop will line up facing the baseball field. The 5-mile Riders should line up facing up Spruce St. Only older, more experienced Riders should be in the front. Younger Riders please stay in the back.
  5. Come early (by 8am) if you need to check-in and get your Rider bag. We will have jugs of water to fill water bottles. There is a bike decorating station and face painting table near the ball field. All are welcome!
  6. Please write your name and cell phone number on the back of kids bike tag. You can also write your Child's name on the front of the bike tag so we can cheer them on!
  7. There will be fruit & granola bars available before the Ride and additional snacks after.
  8. We will have "I Ride For.."' stickers available. Fill one out and put on your child's shirt.
  9. We are aware of the Road construction in the Pond Plain neighborhood. We are re-routing riders to avoid that area. The kids will be expected to stay on the sidewalk along Rte.109 from Oriole to Pond St. and also from Pond to Oak Street. Please keep this in mind before having kids under 7 ride on the 5-mile route. The sidewalks are narrow and the younger kids will need to be able to navigate this with older kids around them.
  10. Kids ages 2-7 are welcome to join Mr. Foley on the baseball field to have fun on "Alexa's Awesome Obstacle Course". AAOC was started to honor Alexa Kelly as she battled leukemia. Nine year-old Alexa is now cancer free and is "living proof " of the importance of the money being raised by the PMC.
Thank you for helping with our mission: to live in a world without cancer!
