Grab your bikes to join in Westwood's 9th annual kids ride. Whether you have participated in the past or new to the ride, this is an event you do not want your kids to miss. Throughout the day there will be face painting, bike decorating, field games, music and refreshments. The PMC kids ride gives children the opportunity to be involved in the fight against cancer. Too many of us have been impacted by cancer and this is one way, one mile at a time we can make a difference. This ride supports both Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.
Alexa's Obstacle Course:
Designed for kids 4 and younger to participate while older sibling are riding
Allisa's 1 mile ride:
Perfect ride for kids just starting to ride a bike
Five for Fighting - 5 mile ride:
A 5-mile ride through the neighborhoods of Westwood
Westwood Strong - 10 mile ride:
A 10-mile ride for those who want a real challenge. It's the 5-mile doubled.
Our goal is to work together to raise funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute to support cancer research, to help find cures for cancer, and to better the treatment plans for cancer patients. To help with this, a minimum fundraising amount of $25 per rider is required. We are hoping to get riders to raise at least $100. If you do then you will be entered in a raffle to win various items.
Riders who raise $250 are considered HEAVY HITTERS and are entered to win a brand new bike.
Riders who raise $750 or more are considered Breakaway Fundraisers and will receive a special New Balance backpack and certificate.
The PMC is committed to giving 100% all donations directly to DFCI for life-saving cancer research. This money is critical in helping those fighting cancer.
