We are very excited to announce Winchester’s 2nd Annual PMC KIDS Ride to take place on June 18, 2016 from 8:30-11:00 am at Lynch Elementary School.
The ride is intended to both raise cancer awareness as well as get Winchester and surrounding communities’ students involved in giving back and being active in the community at an early age. Just like the adult ride, 100% of all rider raised donations will go straight to the Jimmy Fund and used to support cancer research, patient care and families of patients currently involved in treatment. The money raised from the PMC and PMC Kids rides accounts for over half of the total funding for the Jimmy Fund each year! Last year, we had approximately 200 registered riders and raised over $20,000 for the Jimmy Fund. Let's build on our inaugural year's success with our new expanded route and let's see how much more we can give back this year!
On June 18, kids in Winchester & surrounding communities will join this established tradition of bike riding and fundraising for Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s Jimmy Fund. Make the commitment to join us because you want be a part of giving back and you want to help cure cancer! This ride is dedicated to all of our loved ones whose lives were cut short by cancer and to those who continue to inspire us as they live with cancer.
Please note that EACH INDIVIDUAL RIDER is responsible for BOTH their registration fee AND the fundraising minimum, regardless of if they are on a team or ride on their own. We encourage the actual riders themselves to creatively fundraise on their own or in groups to make their minimum. Please check out some fundraising ideas that have worked for other rides by clicking on the fundraising tips tab on this page.
